Fitch affirms Selective Insurance

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed Selective Insurance Group, Inc.'s operating subsidiaries' insurer financial strength ratings at A+ (strong).

The outlook is stable.

Fitch said the ratings reflect Selective's very strong financial performance and solid capitalization with growth in shareholders' equity.

“The company's ratings also reflect its strong business profile with a strong competitive position as a regional commercial lines writer with underwriting diversification derived from personal lines and excess and surplus business,” the agency said in a news release.
