S&P rates Selective preferreds BB+

S&P said it assigned its BB+ preferred stock rating to Selective Insurance Group Inc.'s perpetual noncumulative preferred stock series B. S&P rates Selective BBB with a stable outlook.

Selective will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes.
