Moody's says FCC ruling positive for AT&T

Moody's Investors Service said the FCC ruling regarding Wireless Communications Service licenses is positive for AT&T Inc. because it will provide, in a very affordable manner, much needed capacity for future wireless traffic growth.

On Oct. 17, the FCC issued a ruling that could allow AT&T to use up to 20 MHz of near-nationwide wireless spectrum licenses for its 4G network.

Moody's said it believes that AT&T is likely to incorporate this Wireless Communications band spectrum into its 4G network in the 2015 timeframe.
