AT&T completes $2.7 billion acquisition of Centennial Communications

Charlotte, N.C., Nov. 6 - AT&T, Inc. enhanced its network coverage across the midwest and southeast United States and in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands with the completed acquisition of Centennial Communications Corp., it was announced on Friday.

Centennial shareholders approved the $8.50-a-share cash offer in February 2009.

The deal is valued at $2.7 billion, including net debt, according to an AT&T news release.

AT&T is a Dallas-based communications holding company.

Centennial is a Wall, N.J., provider of regional wireless and integrated communications services in the United States and Puerto Rico.
