U.S. Trustee appoints nine to Sears committee of unsecured creditors

Pittsburgh, Oct. 24 – Sears Holdings Corp.’s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed Wednesday by Region 2 U.S. trustee William K. Harrington, according to a notice filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The committee members are Adi Berger of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp., based in Washington, D.C.; Oswaldo Cruz of Carson, Calif.; Minje Kim of Winiadaewoo Electronics America, Inc. of Ridgefield Park, N.J.; David E. Sturgess of Apex Tool Group, LLC of Huntersville, N.C.; Michael A. Smith of Computershare Trust Co., NA of Islandia, N.Y.; Dennis Roemlein of the Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co. of Houston; Basil Vasiliou of Miami Beach, Fla.; Ronald M. Tucker of Simon Property Group, LP, based in Indianapolis; and Patrick Bennison of Brixmor Operating Partnership, LP of New York.

Sears is a retailer based in Hoffman Estates, Ill. The company filed bankruptcy on Oct. 15 under Chapter 11 case number 18-23538.
