Sea Containers operating loss improves to $2.48 million in April

Pittsburgh, May 27 - Sea Containers Ltd. reported a $2.48 million operating loss for April on $2.48 million in revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The operating loss narrowed from $10.46 million in March, when the company posted negative $4.16 million in revenues.

The April net loss was $6.33 million, narrowing from a $12.43 million March net loss.

Cash and cash equivalents on April 30 were $25.22 million, compared with $30.12 million at the end of March.

Sea Containers, a Hamilton, Bermuda-based provider of passenger and freight transport and marine container leasing, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 15, 2006. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-11156.
