Sea Containers operating loss falls to $20.45 million in May

Pittsburgh, July 9 - Sea Containers Ltd. reported a $20.45 million operating loss for May on revenues of $2.84 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

In April, the company posted a $1.29 million operating loss on revenues of $1.95 million.

The May net loss was $24.36 million, up from a $4.67 million April net loss.

Cash and cash equivalents on May 31 were $24.87 million, compared with $34.04 million at the end of April.

Sea Containers, a Hamilton, Bermuda-based provider of passenger and freight transport and marine container leasing, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 15, 2006. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-11156.
