New Issue: The Scotts Co. $70 million add-on prices at 102.50 to yield 8%

St. Louis, Mo., Feb. 1 - The Scotts Co. priced a $70 million add-on to its 8 5/8% senior subordinated notes due Jan. 15, 2009 at 102.50 for a yield-to-worst of 8%, according to a syndicate source.
"It priced right in the middle of (8% area) price talk," the syndicate official commented, adding that the deal went well.
J.P. Morgan was sole bookrunner and lead on the Rule 144A transaction. Banc of America Securities, Wachovia Securities, ABN Amro and Credit Lyonnais were co-managers.
