Scopus Video, Optibase end merger talks

Charlotte, N.C., Nov. 6 - Scopus Video Networks Ltd. said negotiations to acquire the digital video and streaming business of its principal shareholder, Optibase Ltd., have been terminated.

No other details were released.

Optibase is currently examining its alternatives with its legal advisers, a company news release said.

Herzliya, Israel-based Optibase is a provider of equipment for professional video applications in the broadband internet protocol, television, broadcast, government, enterprise and post-production markets.

Scopus, located in Rosh Ha'ayin, Israel, develops and supports digital video networking, offering video gateways, encoders, decoders and network management products.
