SCO Group trustee gets court OK to change company name to TSG Group

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, May 19 - SCO Group, Inc. Chapter 11 trustee Edward N. Cahn received court approval to change the company's name to TSG Group, Inc. according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

On April 11, the court approved the sale of substantially all of SCO's software business assets, including goodwill associated with corporate names.

In addition, the trustee filed certificates of amendment to the company's certificates of incorporation with the Secretary of State of the State of Delaware changing SCO Group's name to TSG Group, Inc. and SCO Operations, Inc.'s name to TSG Operations, Inc., the motion said.

SCO, based in Lindon, Utah, develops UNIX software technology for distributed, embedded and network-based systems. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 14, 2007. Its Chapter 11 case number is 07-11337.
