Schroder to offer Schroder Emerging Markets Multi-Sector Bond Fund

By Toni Weeks

San Luis Obispo, Calif., April 11 - Schroder Series Trust announced in an N-1A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission its plans to offer a new emerging-markets fixed-income fund, the Schroder Emerging Markets Multi-Sector Bond Fund.

The fund will seek to provide a return of capital growth and income. Under normal circumstances, it will invest at least 80% of its net assets in bonds of companies located in emerging-market countries. The subadviser will allocate the fund's assets actively among fixed-income sectors such as government bonds, corporate bonds, mortgage-backed securities and inflation-indexed bonds.

Jim Barrineau, Fernando Grisales, Alexander Moseley and Christopher Tackney will be the portfolio managers.

The ticker symbol has not been announced.

There will be no shareholder fees. Management fees and annual fund operating expenses have not yet been set.

New York-based Schroder Investment Management NA Inc. will serve as the investment adviser to the fund.
