Schlumberger files automatic shelf covering stock and debt securities

Knoxville, Tenn., April 7 - Schlumberger Ltd. filed a debt securities and common stock automatic shelf registration in an S-3 ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The shelf also covers guarantees for the debt.

Proceeds from the securities, which may be structured as convertibles, will be used for general corporate purposes.

Schlumberger is a New York-based oilfield services company.
