Sbarro net loss narrows to $6.32 million in May 2 to May 29 period

Pittsburgh, June 24 - Sbarro, Inc. reported a $6.32 million net loss for the period of May 2 to May 29 on $22.08 million in total revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

In comparison, Sbarro posted a $6.74 million net loss for the period of April 4 to May 1 on $23.69 million in total revenues.

The company had $20.04 million in cash and cash equivalents at May 29, down from $23.01 million at May 1.

Sbarro, a Melville, N.Y.-based quick-service Italian restaurant chain, filed for bankruptcy on April 4. The Chapter 11 case number is 11-11002.
