Abbey National, Santander file $5 billion shelf for debt securities

Knoxville, Tenn., March 18 - Abbey National Treasury Services plc and Santander UK plc jointly filed a $5 billion debt securities and first mortgage bonds shelf registration in an F-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

The financial services companies are based in London.
