Santander Holdings USA planning to sell senior notes offering

Virginia Beach, Va., Aug. 22 - Santander Holdings USA Inc. is planning to price an offering of senior notes, according to a 424B3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

BofA Merrill Lynch, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Santander and U.S. Bancorp Investments are the joint bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Boston-based Santander Holdings USA is the parent company of Sovereign Bank. It is a subsidiary of Spain's Banco Santander, SA.
