S&P affirms San Luis Potosi

Standard & Poor's said it affirmed its BBB(mx) national-scale rating and stable outlook on the State of San Luis Potosi, United Mexican States.

The rating reflects an increasingly diversifying economy, with positive growth prospects and improving management systems, the agency said.

These strengths are offset by poor budgetary performance, growing debt burden and insufficient pension reserves to guarantee the medium-term financial viability of the system, S&P said.
