S&P lifts San Luis Potosi outlook to positive

Standard & Poor's said it revised the outlook on the State of San Luis Potosi, United Mexican States, to positive from stable.

At the same time, the agency said it affirmed its mxBBB national-scale rating on the state.

The revised outlook reflects an expected increase in San Luis Potosi's modifiable revenue due to both recent reforms aimed at strengthening the state's tax collection and the positive growth prospects of the local economy, S&P noted.

The revision also reflects improvement in timeliness and comprehensiveness in the generation and disclosure of financial information, the agency said.
