Capital Group International slashes stake in SanDisk

Philadelphia, Oct. 24 - Capital Group International Inc. decreased by 5.4% its holding in SanDisk Corp. as of Oct. 15, according to an SC 13G/A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In the latest filing, Capital Group reported a passive stake of 8.8%, representing an ownership of 19,814,790 shares.

That investment is less than it owned as of Dec. 31, 2007, when it reported a passive stake of 14.2%, or ownership of 32,903,820 shares, according to an earlier SC 13G/A filing.

Capital Group previously reported a passive stake of 14.6%, or an investment of 32,903,820 shares, on Dec. 29, 2006, according to an earlier SC 13G/A filing.

And it reported an 11.4% passive stake, representing 21,017,480 shares, as of Nov. 22, 2005, according to an SC 13G filing.

SanDisk, based in Milpitas, Calif., develops, manufactures and markets NAND-based flash storage card products that are used in consumer electronics products.
