San Diego Gas & Electric intends to sell green first mortgage bonds

Knoxville, Tenn., Aug. 9 – San Diego Gas & Electric Co. expects to issue green first mortgage bonds, series WWW, due 2051, according to a 424B5 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The bonds feature a make-whole call followed by a par call.

Mizuho Securities USA Inc., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Credit Agricole CIB, RBC Capital Markets LLC, Wells Fargo Securities LLC and Siebert Williams Shank & Co. LLC are the bookrunners.

Mizuho is also the sustainability structuring agent.

Proceeds will be used to finance or refinance eligible green projects.

The San Diego-based gas and electric utility is a subsidiary of Sempra Energy.
