Atlantis Plastics to consider alternatives, including sale

Charlotte, N.C., Jan. 23 - Atlantis Plastics, Inc. said it retained Houlihan, Lokey, Howard & Zukin to assist the company in evaluating strategic alternatives, including a possible sale of Atlantis Plastics.

There can be no assurance that the evaluation will result in any specific transaction, a company news release stated.

The company does not intend to comment further unless and until its board of directors has approved a definitive transaction.

Atlantis Plastics is an Atlanta-based manufacturer of polyethylene stretch and custom films and molded plastic products.
