AtCor to supply SphygmoCor blood pressure measuring system to U.S. company for $1.48 million

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 31 - AtCor Medical Holdings Ltd. said it will supply its SphygmoCor non-invasive central blood pressure measuring system and clinical trial support to an unnamed, U.S.-based pharmaceutical company for $1.48 million.

"This order is further evidence of growing pharmaceutical research sector adoption of central pressure data as key to determining the true cardiovascular impact of new drugs," chief executive officer Ross Harricks said in a company news release.

Sydney, Australia-based AtCor will recognize $1.1 million of the contract in its 2007 financial year, with the remaining service revenue of approximately $400,000 spread over the life of the contract.
