Fitch affirms Astoria Financial

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed Astoria Financial Corp.'s long-term and short-term issuer default ratings at BBB+ and F2, respectively.

The outlook remains negative.

The agency said that Astoria Financials ratings are as follows: long-term issuer default rating at BBB+, short-term issuer default rating at F2, individual rating at B/C, senior unsecured at BBB+, support at 5 and support Floor at NF.

The negative outlook reflects Fitch's view that Astoria Financial's operating performance will remain below peer levels and that asset quality may be pressured due to continued adverse macro-economic factors.
