Fitch rates Astana notes BB+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned JSC Astana Finance's €40 million 7 7/8% fixed-rate notes issued under its $2 billion global medium-term note program an expected BB+ rating.

The issuer has a long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating at BB+ with a negative outlook, short-term issuer default rating at B, long-term local-currency issuer default rating at BB+ with a stable outlook, national long-term rating at A+(kaz) with a stable outlook, support rating at 3, individual rating at D/E and support rating floor at BB+.

The issue is expected to be senior unsecured with a maturity of June 8, 2010.
