By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, July 5 – Estonia’s AS Tallink Grupp subsidiary Tallink Superfast Ltd. signed a €197.6 million loan agreement to finance its new €247 million dual fuel engine ferry that is currently under construction by Rauma Marine Constructions Oy.

The loan is arranged and long-term financing is provided by KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH, according to a press release.

The loan is secured by the mortgage on the new vessel and the corporate guarantee of AS Tallink Grupp.

It will be drawn on the delivery of the vessel, which is expected in early 2022, and will mature 12 years from the drawdown.

The issuer is a shipping company based in Tallinn, Estonia.
