S&P rates Assured Guaranty notes A

S&P said it assigned an A rating to Assured Guaranty US Holdings Inc.'s planned senior unsecured notes due 2028.

The issuer, an intermediate holding company and wholly owned subsidiary of Assured Guaranty Ltd., plans to use the proceeds and available cash, to redeem its 5% senior notes due July 1, 2024, also rated A.

The outlook is stable.
