By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, July 10 - Quebecor World Inc. said it has reached a new $55 million multi-year agreement with Reader's Digest Association to print magazines and books for the New York-based publisher, according to a Quebecor World news release.

The company said the agreement includes renewal work on Reader's Digest's Family Handyman, Reader's Digest Large Print, Weekly Reader, QVC books and Select Editions book publications, as well as significant new work for Quebecor World, including Weekly Reader Current Events and Reader's Digest Milwaukee magazine.

The work will be produced at Quebecor World's facilities in the United States and Canada, the release said.

Quebecor, a Montreal-based printing and marketing company, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Jan. 21 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York and filed for protection under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act in Canada. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-10152.
