By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, April 2 - Quebecor World Inc. has been awarded a new $285 million contract with the McGraw-Hill Cos., according to a company news release.

Quebecor World said the contract, which runs through 2014, covers a wide range of educational textbooks, ancillary products, professional learning products and catalogs.

"This contract with Quebecor World extends a successful long-term relationship and delivers significant cost savings to the McGraw-Hill Companies over the life of the contract," McGraw-Hill's vice president of global procurement & manufacturing services, H. Bruce Ryno Sr., said in the news release.

Quebecor, a Montreal-based printing and marketing company, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Jan. 21 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York and filed for protection under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act in Canada. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-10152.
