Quanta Capital Holdings defers interest payments on junior subordinated debt securities to March 15

Pittsburgh, Dec. 4 - Quanta Capital Holdings Ltd. elected to defer payments of interest on its junior subordinated debt securities due March 15, 2035 and June 15, 2035 until March 15, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

As a result of this deferral, the company is precluded from paying dividends or distributions, redeeming, purchasing, acquiring or making liquidation payments on its 10.25% series A preferred shares and its common stock until after it has paid all deferred interest on the debt securities.

Quanta is a Hamilton, Bermuda-based provider of property and casualty insurance, reinsurance, risk assessment and risk consulting services.
