S&P gives Qualcomm notes A

S&P said it assigned its A issue-level rating to Qualcomm Inc.'s senior unsecured notes.

“We rate the new notes the same as our issuer credit rating on the company,” S&P said in a press release.

The company will use proceeds to repay its outstanding $1.5 billion of notes due May 2022 and for general corporate purposes.

The outlook is stable.
