Moody's gives University of Pa. bonds Aa2/VMIG1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned Aa2/VMIG1 ratings to University of Pennsylvania's $77.2 million of series of 2008 refunding revenue bonds to be issued through the Quakertown General Authority.

The long-term rating carries a stable outlook.

Moody's also said it affirmed the Aa2 ratings on the university's rated debt.

Sale of the 2008 bonds is expected on April 16.
