Qimonda Richmond wants to conduct auction for remaining assets

Charlotte, N.C., April 27 - Qimonda Richmond, LLC asked the court to allow the company to conduct a cleanup auction for its remaining assets with the continued assistance of Gordon Brothers Commercial & Industrial, LLC and Emerald Technology Valuations, LLC, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

A hearing is scheduled for May 25.

According to the filing, Qimonda has approximately 125 remaining semiconductor tool assets and approximately 51 miscellaneous other assets to sell that may generate up to $6 million in sale proceeds.

Qimonda is a Munich, Germany-based semiconductor memory products producer.
