Fitch affirms Qatar Telecom

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed Qatar Telecom's long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating and senior unsecured ratings at A+.

The outlook is stable.

The affirmation reflects an assessment of the sovereign's creditworthiness, given the company's strong operational and strategic ties with the State of Qatar, Fitch said.

The company's existing facilities have a significant covenant stating Qatar's control of the company.
