Fitch rates Qtel notes A+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned Qtel International Finance Ltd.'s global medium-term note program, guaranteed by Qatar Telecom QSC, a final senior unsecured rating of A+. The agency also said it assigned a final senior unsecured A+ rating to $900 million 6 ½% five-year notes due June 10, 2014 and $600 million 7.875% 10-year notes due June 10, 2019, all issued under the global medium-term note program.

The final rating follows a review of its final terms and conditions, which conform to the information already received.

Qtel International Finance is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qtel. The final rating of the program is in line with Qtel's issuer default rating and senior unsecured rating of A+.

The guarantee in respect of the notes constitutes direct, unconditional and unsecured obligations of Qtel and rank equally with all other unsecured obligations of Qtel, Fitch said.
