S&P affirms Qatar Petroleum
S&P said it affirmed its AA- foreign and local currency long-term issuer credit ratings on Qatar Petroleum.
The outlook remains negative.
The agency said the affirmation reflects its continued assessment that there is an almost certain likelihood that the company would receive timely and sufficient extraordinary support from the Qatar government in the event of financial distress.
On this basis, S&P said it equalizes the long-term ratings on Qatar Petroleum with the long-term sovereign rating on Qatar (AA-/negative/A-1+).
