Moody's lifts Qatar Feriliser

Moody's Investors Service said it upgraded Qatar Fertiliser Co.'s local- and foreign-currency senior unsecured issuer ratings to Aa2 from Aa3. The rating action follows the agency's upgrade of Qatar Petroleum rating to Aa2 from Aa3.

The outlook is stable.

The upgrade reflects the significant element of credit enhancement incorporated in the issuer's ratings as a result of its majority-ownership by Qatar Petroleum and ultimately the State of Qatar, Moody's said.
