PrinceRidge hires McNicholas, Red-Horse and Zampolin as managing directors in corporate finance

Knoxville, Tenn., March 1 - The PrinceRidge Group LLC announced that John McNicholas, Valerie Red-Horse and Ron Zampolin have been hired as managing directors in the firm's corporate finance group, which is headed by William Wilson and Justin Vorwerk.

McNicholas is an M&A specialist who will leverage his experience with industrial companies and financial sponsors. Red-Horse will focus on the gaming, leisure and entertainment industries, with a particular focus on Native American Indian gaming opportunities. Zampolin will focus on technology, internet and telecom opportunities.

"William Wilson and Justin Vorwerk continue to build an outstanding team for our corporate finance group," the group's supervisor, Ahmed Alali, said in a press release. "John, Valerie and Ron bring unique capabilities that are in high demand and which add considerable depth and experience to our client-oriented practice."

McNicholas has more than 23 years of investment banking experience, with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, financial restructurings and leveraged transactions. Prior to joining PrinceRidge, he was the co-founder of Regian Capital Advisors, an investment banking advisory boutique. Before establishing Regian, McNicholas was a managing director at J.P. Morgan, responsible for its North American mid-corporate M&A business. He joined JPMorgan from the Blackstone Group where he was a managing director in the M&A group. McNicholas also worked at Merrill Lynch and Wertheim.

Red-Horse has nearly 30 years of investment banking experience with expertise in high-yield bond transactions, leveraged finance and financial restructurings. Prior to joining PrinceRidge, Red-Horse was owner and founder of Red-Horse Financial Group, an investment banking and strategic advisory boutique specializing in Gaming and Native American Tribal Finance. Prior to that, Red-Horse founded Native Nations Securities/Red-Horse Securities, where she was chairwoman of the board and chief executive officer. Both entities operated as full service broker-dealers focused on gaming and tribal transactions. Red-Horse began her career in financial services in the corporate finance and high yield bond departments of Drexel Burnham Lambert.

Zampolin has more than 16 years of investment banking and private equity experience with expertise in capital raising and M&A. Previously Zampolin was a partner with Southfield Capital Advisors, a middle-market focused private equity firm, where he was responsible for transaction execution and portfolio company monitoring. Prior to that, Zampolin was an investment banker at Credit Suisse and its predecessor Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in the technology group. Zampolin began his career at Kidder, Peabody.
