New York, Jan. 7 - Asia Pacific Breweries Ltd. announced the issue of S$40 million of 4% series 2 notes due Jan. 7, 2022.
Interest is payable semiannually.
The notes were issued at par of S$250,000.
HSBC Ltd. was the dealer.
Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, which may include the proposed Grande Brasserie de Nouvelle Caledonie SA acquisition, the planned PT Multi Bintang Indonesia Tbk. acquisition and the proposed Bintang brand acquisition announced on Dec. 7.
On Oct. 1, the company issued a first series of S$100 million of 3.55% notes, also under its S$1 billion multicurrency medium-term note program.
The note program was established on April 9, 2009.
The company added that approval in-principle has been obtained for the listing of the notes on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Ltd.
Asia Pacific Breweries has breweries in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, China, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, India and Sri Lanka.
