Portugal buys back $1.12 billion of 5.125% bonds due 2024

Los Angeles, July 16 – The Republic of Portugal gave notice that it repurchased $1,124,000,000 of its 5.125% bonds due 2024 (ISIN: XS1085738729, XS1085735899) on July 16.
After cancelation of the repurchased bonds, $3,376,000,000 of the original $4.5 billion remains outstanding.
Societe Generale Bank & Trust is the paying agent.
