Moody's rates Pomorskie Baa1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned local-currency and foreign-currency issuer ratings of Baa1 to Poland's region of Pomorskie.

The outlook is stable.

The ratings are based on the region's good financial performance in recent years, which translated into growing operating balances and currently low debt ratios, Moody's said.

The ratings also factor in the region's active recourse to debt going forward to fund the implementation of an ambitious capital expenditure program, the agency said. They also reflect the high level of contingent liabilities stemming from the health care sector in the region and the subsequent risks posed to the region, Moody's added.
