New Issue: Ascendant Copper to raise C$5.2 million from sale of shares

Des Moines, Nov. 1 - Ascendant Copper Corp. negotiated a private placement of shares for C$5.2 million.

The company plans to sell 8 million common shares at C$0.65 each.

Haywood Securities Inc. will act as agent for the deal.

Proceeds will be used for exploration and development of the company's Chauca project, initiation of an Ecuador-wide program based on recent exploration data, exploration at its Telimbela project and an agricultural program on Junin land holdings.

Ascendant is a mineral company based in Vancouver, B.C.
