PG&E reports operating income down to $47 million in month of April

Pittsburgh, May 30 – PG&E Corp. reported $47 million of operating income for April on $1.19 billion in operating revenue, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
In comparison, PG&E posted $61 million of operating income for March on $1.26 billion in operating revenue.
Net income for April was $70 million, declining from $136 million of March net income.
The company had $3,739,000,000 in cash and cash equivalents as of April 30, up from $2,964,000,000 at the end of March.
The electric and natural-gas utility is based in San Francisco. The company filed bankruptcy on Jan. 29 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California under Chapter 11 case number 19-30088.
