S&P ups Aruba view to stable

Standard & Poor's said it revised its outlook on Aruba to stable from negative. At the same time, the agency said it affirmed its A-/A-2 sovereign credit rating on Aruba.

The A- transfer and convertibility assessment remains unchanged.

S&P said the change in outlook reflects recent reforms to address shortfalls in Aruba's pension system and health care agency, which should strengthen public finances over the long term, reducing future fiscal pressures.
