S&P rates Aruba A-

Standard & Poor's said it assigned an A- long-term and A-2 short-term foreign- and local-currency sovereign credit ratings to Aruba.

The outlook is stable.

Ratings reflect the area's prosperous economy and high level of social development, the agency said.

Ratings are constrained by a narrow economic base, relatively high government debt and limited monetary and external flexibility, S&P noted.
