Arrow Investments Trust registers five new funds with SEC

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, Nov. 29 - Arrow Investments Trust has registered five new funds in an N-1A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The funds are the Arrow Alternative Solutions Fund, the Arrow DWA Balanced Fund, the Arrow DWA Tactical Fund, the Arrow Managed Futures Trend Fund and the Arrow Commodity Strategy Fund. Class A, class C and institutional class shares will be offered for all of the funds.

The Arrow Alternative Solutions Fund seeks capital appreciation with an emphasis on positive returns, low volatility and low correlation to the equity markets. Its portfolio will contain leveraged long and short strategies with a targeted amount of risk.

The Arrow DWA Balanced Fund seeks an appropriate balance between long-term capital appreciation and capital preservation by investing primarily in exchange-traded funds, commodity futures and options on commodity futures.

The DWA Tactical Fund seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation with capital preservation as a secondary objective by investing in exchange-traded funds, commodity futures and options on commodity futures.

The Arrow Managed Futures Trend Fund seeks to provide investment results that match the performance of a benchmark for measuring trends in the commodity and financial futures markets. It invests primarily in securities and derivates that are expected to produce returns that track those of the Trader Vic index.

The Arrow Commodity Strategy Fund seeks investment results that correlate to the performance of the Longview Extended Commodity index and may invest in exchanged-traded notes, ETFs, mutual funds, commodity index-linked notes and commodity-linked structured notes, among others.

The funds' class A shares will carry a maximum sales load of 5.75% and a maximum deferred sales charge of 1%; their class C and institutional class shares will not carry a sales charge.

The funds' investment adviser is Olney, Md.-based Arrow Investment Advisors, LLC.
