Arris Group investors led by Shamrock buy more than 5.4 million shares

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 1 - A group of Arris Group, Inc. shareholders led by Shamrock Activist Value Fund, LP bought 5,412,089 shares of the company's stock for a total of $35.16 million between Sept. 30 and Nov. 25.

The transactions were reported in a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Shamrock beneficially owns 7,020,514 shares, or 5.72%, of the Atlanta-based broadband local access network provider.
