By Mark Reccek

Bethlehem, Pa., Aug. 12 – OSX Brasil SA’s board of directors elected Eduardo Meira Faria as its new chief executive officer, according to a press release issued Tuesday.

He replaces Marcello Marin, who will remain as the chief financial officer and the investors director of the company.

Faria will focus on the judicial recovery plan, which is to develop the area of the Porto do Açu.

He has held management positions in food companies and director positions in real estate companies, such as Iron House-Grupo Cornelio Brennand and Design Resorts-Portugal. In addition, he has worked in the tourism sector, for third sector foundations and the state government of Bahi.

Faria received his degree in finance and banking from the University of Brideport, as well as completed graduate management courses at Fundação Getulio Vargas and Fundação Dom Cabral.

OSX Brasil is a Rio de Janeiro-based oil and gas holding company.
