Oshkosh Truck to use existing loans to fund Jerr-Dan acquisition

New York, June 1 - Oshkosh Truck Corp. plans to finance the $80 million acquisition of Jerr-Dan Corp. from an affiliate of Littlejohn & Co. using borrowings under existing credit facilities, according to a company news release.

Jerr-Dan will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Oshkosh and will be part of the company's fire and emergency business. Completion of the acquisition, which is expected to take place in July, is subject to customary conditions, including receipt of required regulatory approvals.

Oshkosh Truck is an Oshkosh, Wis., manufacturer of specialty trucks and truck bodies. Jerr-Dan is a Greencastle, Pa., manufacturer of towing and recovery bodies and equipment and transporter truck bodies.
