Ormet earns $8.15 million in October on sales of $53.57 million

Washington, Nov. 30 - Ormet Corp. earned $8.15 million in October on sales of $53.57 million, according to the company's monthly operating report filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Operating income for October was $4.48 million.

Since filing for bankruptcy on Jan. 1, 2004, Ormet has lost $36.58 million on sales of $520.5 million with an operating loss of $10.32 million.

Cash and cash equivalents on Oct. 31 were $5.15 million.

The Chapter 11 case number for the Wheeling, W. Va.-based aluminum company is 04-51255.
