Ormat Technologies buys back $6.8 million of 8¼% notes due 2020

Tacoma, Wash., Nov. 8 – Ormat Technologies, Inc. repurchased $6.8 million principal amount of 8¼% senior secured notes due 2020 issued by Ormat Funding Corp., according to a 10-Q filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company said it recognized a loss of about $600,000 in the three and nine months ended Sept. 30 as a result of the repurchase.

There was $19.7 million principal amount of the notes outstanding as of Sept. 30.

In June 2015, the company had repurchased $30.6 million principal amount of the notes.

Ormat is a Reno, Nev., geothermal and recovered energy power company.
