ORIX adds Brian Kerr as director in mezzanine and private equity team

Chicago, Sept. 22 – ORIX USA has added new member Brian Kerr to its mezzanine and private equity team.

Kerr brings 19 years of financial industry experience to ORIX and will be a director based in Philadelphia.

Kerr will be responsible for developing new and existing relationships in the Midwest and eastern half of the United States, according to a Tuesday press release. He also will assist in underwriting investment opportunities and with portfolio management.

“Brian’s financial experience, strategic thinking skills and network of relationships in the private equity community are very complementary. We are excited to have him as part of our team,” Jeff Sangalis, managing director and group head, said in the statement.

Kerr was previously a managing director with Cornerstone Capital Holdings and also worked at Penn Mezzanine and Stifel Investment Banking.

ORIX USA is a Dallas-based financial services firm. Its parent company, ORIX Corp., is based in Tokyo.
